EVERY DAY IS AN OPPORTUNITY

Por Promin Muay Thai Camp in April 2011 in Hua Hin, a beautiful and traditional beachside town just 2.5 hours south of the capital Bangkok.

Por Promin Muay Thai Camp is a family run gym headed by Kru Kin and his wife Miriam along with their team of trainers and fighters that provide a friendly warm atmosphere for people from all walks of life to experience Muay Thai in its traditional element.

Kru Kin, along with his team of carefully selected trainers specialises in preparing fighters for their first fight in Thailand as well as, given time, building them up for fights in the big stadiums of Bangkok like Lumpinee and Omnoi and big shows like Thai Fight and MAX Muay Thai.

As well as this Por Promin is also a camp where the complete beginner feels right at home, whether you’re coming to fight or looking to improve your fitness and physique or even try Muay Thai for the first time, you’re guaranteed to feel part of the family.

Por Promin Muay Thai Camp believes in contributing back to the local community which means they have many local children from low-income families that train with them for free as well as running a small animal rescue sancutary which currently takes care of 15 dogs and 8 cats. Hua Hin is a still relatively new location to many as traditionally it has always been seen as a place for the older generations of tourists, however as the likes of Koh Samui, Phuket and Pattaya become over-saturated with tourists and party life, Hua Hin is attracting more and more visitors each year and provides a great alternative to the big smokes of Bangkok, where most people go if they want to really focus on Muay Thai, but then lack the opportunity to visit the beach when they want.

Hua Hin is still authentically Thai and provides a great beachside location with the peace and quiet to get away from it all and really concentrate on your Muay Thai training. Whilst still providing some great tourist attractions and activities like elephant riding, caves, waterfalls, temples, market shopping, great food and beautiful beaches.

For fighters it is ideal as it is only 3 hours away from the big stadiums in Bangkok and for tourists an easy and cheap bus ride for some great shopping without actually having to stay in the capital.
